After earning a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in New Zealand, Dr Laura Smit quickly built experience in both the public and private sectors of dentistry. Since then, Laura has been committed to her ongoing education and has attended several courses on smile make overs, dental implants, and orthodontics. She is a certified Invisalign Provider and a master clinician in implants and Digital Smile Design.
Dr Smit and her team are passionate about dentistry and improving people’s quality of life by helping them maintain or create beautiful and healthy smiles. She uses modern techniques and the most up-to-date technology to help people feel at ease.

Laura has a keen interest in Digital Smile Design, smile makeovers, and Implant Dentistry. She loves doing smile transformations as they often require the use of all skills together, from facial aesthetics, to moving teeth, gum shaping surgery, dental veneers, and replacing teeth with implants. Digital Smile Design is an amazing philosophy and tool that brings all this together in a detailed plan to create naturally beautiful smiles that are individually designed to suit each person and their individual needs.

When not caring for patients, Dr Laura Smit loves exercise and keeping fit. She was an elite gymnast when she was younger, and her love of sport and exercise has remained. She also loves to go camping and surfing and she also bakes wedding cakes.
